Shamal is the younger Brother of Sol. It is He who lives in the waters and helps Pala and Sol create life on Mellus. He lives in the waters and deeps of Mellus and travels the lands and under mountains to report the happening's to Sol. War He makes against the servants of Necal and lightning He calls down on them. It was he who first saw the Humans come and the hardships and tortures they endured. The Sis'Ralar He lives among though they do not see Him and He helps them. At times he has been seen coming out of the waters in the form of creatures which live in His depths.
